Questions about fees

When am I charged?

Only when you take a payment. There is no monthly fee and no minimum. The app shows every fee before you confirm a transaction.

Do I need to buy a card reader?

No. The phone you already have is the terminal. Tap to Pay, QR codes, payment links, and invoices all work straight from the app.

Do rates change depending on how my customer pays?

No. Tap to Pay, QR codes, payment links, and invoices all cost 3.25% + 50¢, whether your customer uses a debit card, a credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Typing a card number in by hand costs 3.95% + 50¢, and cards issued outside the US add 2%.

When do I get my money?

Payouts to your bank are free and usually land within 1 to 2 business days. New accounts may see longer times on their first transactions, from 2 to 14 business days, while banking and identity verification is completed.

What about refunds?

Refunding a sale costs nothing extra. Your customer gets the full amount back on the same card or account they paid with, but the original transaction fee stays with the sale and is not returned.

What happens if a customer disputes a charge?

A $20 dispute fee applies while the bank investigates. Quikcent sends clear digital receipts with every sale, which helps keep disputes rare.

Can I pay another business through Quikcent?

Yes. Sending, requesting, and receiving money between Quikcent accounts is free when funded by your balance or bank, and so are standard payouts. The app shows any fee before you confirm.
