General Questions
What is Quikcent?
Quikcent is a financial technology platform that makes it easy for eligible businesses and individuals to accept payments, send money, and receive payouts. We work with regulated payment processors and financial institution partners to deliver these services. Available features may vary based on your account type, eligibility, and location.
Who is Quikcent designed for?
Quikcent is built for small businesses, food trucks, hair stylists, independent sellers, service providers, freelancers, mobile vendors, entrepreneurs, and everyday users sending money to friends and family.
How is Quikcent different from other payment apps?
Quikcent focuses on fast payouts, simple Tap-to-Pay transactions, no hardware required for businesses, flexible fee controls, business-friendly tools, built-in digital receipts, and a modern streamlined user experience.
Who processes payments on Quikcent?
Quikcent is powered by Stripe, which processes payments for millions of businesses worldwide. That partnership is also why some identity and risk checks are required when you set up your account.
Payments & Transactions
How do I accept payments?
Businesses can accept payments directly through the Quikcent app using compatible Tap-to-Pay technology, manual card entry, or supported digital wallets.
Does Quikcent support Tap to Pay?
Yes. Compatible devices can accept contactless card payments and mobile wallet payments directly through the app without a separate card reader.
Does my customer need the Quikcent app to pay me?
No. Customers can pay using supported credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other accepted payment methods.
How quickly do I get paid?
Eligible instant payouts may arrive within minutes, though timing can vary depending on banking partners, risk reviews, weekends, holidays, and payment processors.
Are instant payouts guaranteed?
No. Instant payouts are available to eligible accounts with a supported bank account or debit card. Availability can depend on account status, verification, and whether your bank supports instant transfers. Standard payouts always remain available.
How long do payouts take on a new account?
New accounts may see longer payout times on their first transactions while banking and identity verification is completed. Once your account is established, eligible accounts can use standard or instant payouts.
Why hasn't my first payment reached my bank yet?
First transactions can take longer while banking and identity verification is completed. Most established accounts get standard payouts within 1 to 2 business days, and eligible users can use instant payouts.
Can I send money to friends or other businesses?
Yes. Quikcent supports peer-to-peer transfers between eligible Quikcent users.
Fees
What fees does Quikcent charge?
Fees vary depending on transaction type and account features. Applicable fees are displayed before completing eligible transactions.
Can businesses pass processing fees to customers?
In certain cases, businesses may have options to absorb eligible fees or pass eligible fees to customers, subject to applicable laws and card network rules.
Security & Privacy
Is Quikcent secure?
Protecting your information is a top priority. Quikcent uses industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption, authentication controls, and fraud monitoring, to help protect your account and transactions. No security system, however, can guarantee absolute protection.
Does Quikcent store my full card number?
Quikcent works with secure third-party payment processors and is designed to minimize storage of sensitive payment information.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Identity verification helps protect you and the Quikcent community from fraud and financial crime. It also helps us comply with applicable financial regulations, banking partner requirements, and payment network rules. Depending on the services you use, additional verification may be required.
Accounts
How do I create an account?
Download the Quikcent app, sign up using your information, and follow the verification process.
Can I use Quikcent for both personal and business use?
Yes. Eligible users may be able to maintain separate personal and business profiles within the app.
Are there limits when I first start?
Yes. New accounts may have transaction or payout limits while we learn more about your account activity. Limits may increase over time based on your account history, verification status, risk reviews, and compliance requirements.
Receipts & Business Features
Does Quikcent send receipts?
Yes. Digital receipts can be sent through supported email or text delivery options.
Can businesses customize receipts?
Certain account types may allow businesses to customize receipts with logos, promotions, loyalty rewards, or business information.
Disputes & Refunds
What happens if a customer disputes a charge?
If a customer disputes a transaction, the payment may be temporarily reversed while the dispute is reviewed under applicable payment network rules. We'll notify you if additional information is needed and keep you informed throughout the process.
Can I issue refunds?
Yes. Eligible transactions can generally be refunded through the Quikcent app, subject to your account status and applicable payment processor and payment network requirements.
How long does a refund take to appear?
Refunds are sent right away, but your customer's bank decides when the money shows up on their statement. That can take several business days, and the timing is outside Quikcent's control.
Technical Support
How do I contact support?
You can reach Quikcent Support through the app, by email, or through our online Help Center. Additional support options, including live chat or phone support, may be available depending on your account and the services you use.
Legal & Compliance
Is Quikcent a bank?
No. Quikcent is a financial technology platform and is not a bank. Banking and payment services may be provided through licensed third-party financial institutions and payment processors.
Can Quikcent close my account?
In certain circumstances, yes. We may suspend or close accounts where permitted by our Terms of Service, including to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, protect the security of the platform, prevent fraud, or address violations of our policies. Whenever appropriate, we'll communicate with you regarding actions affecting your account.
